Our Commitment to Safe Play

At m99m, responsible gambling is not a checkbox — it is built into how we operate. We believe that every Malaysian player deserves a safe, transparent, and fair gaming environment, and that means giving you the tools and information to stay in control at every step.

We are committed to preventing underage gambling, identifying players who may be experiencing harm, and providing immediate pathways to support. Our responsible gambling framework covers age verification, spending controls, self-exclusion mechanisms, and ongoing monitoring of account activity for signs of problem gambling behaviour.

Whether you enjoy live casino games, football betting on the EPL or Liga Super Malaysia, or slot games, the experience should always be driven by enjoyment — never by compulsion, financial pressure, or desperation to recover losses. If it stops feeling like entertainment, it is time to use the tools on this page.

Our pledge: m99m will never market to players who have self-excluded, applied deposit limits, or shown indicators of harmful gambling behaviour. Our responsible gambling commitments are non-negotiable and apply equally to all registered players across Malaysia.

01
Strict 21+ Age Verification

Every new account undergoes mandatory age verification as part of our KYC process. We use government-issued identity document checks — including Malaysian MyKad and Passport — to ensure no player under the age of 21 can access the platform or place any wager.

02
Player Activity Monitoring

Our compliance team reviews account activity patterns on an ongoing basis. Where we identify signs of harmful or escalating gambling behaviour — such as rapid increases in deposit frequency, extended unbroken play sessions, or repeated maximum-limit deposits — we proactively reach out to the player.

03
Immediate Access to Controls

All responsible gambling tools — deposit limits, loss limits, session timers, cooling-off periods, and self-exclusion — are accessible directly from your account dashboard or by contacting our24/7 support team. Limits applied are effective immediately and cannot be increased without a mandatory cooling-off period.

04
Staff Training

All m99m customer support agents receive training in responsible gambling awareness, including how to identify at-risk players, how to communicate sensitively, and how to direct players to appropriate support services including Talian Kasih 15999 and GamCare.

Tools to Keep You In Control

All of the following tools are available to every registered m99m player at no cost. Activate them through your account settings or contact our live support team anytime.

Deposit Limits

Set a daily, weekly, or monthly cap on how much you can deposit into your m99m account. Once the limit is reached, no further deposits are accepted until the period resets. Limits can be reduced immediately but increases require a 7-day cooling-off period before taking effect.

Loss Limits

Define the maximum amount you are comfortable losing within a set timeframe — daily, weekly, or monthly. When your net losses reach the specified threshold, your account is automatically restricted from further real-money wagering until the limit period expires.

Session Time Limits

Set a maximum duration for each gaming session. When your session time limit is reached, you will receive a clear notification and be automatically logged out. This tool is particularly useful for preventing the kind of extended play that can blur the sense of time and money spent.

Cooling-Off Period

Take a short break without permanently closing your account. Choose a cooling-off period of 24 hours, 3 days, 1 week, or 1 month. During this period, you cannot log in, deposit, or wager. The period cannot be shortened once activated — it runs its full course.

Self-Exclusion

If you feel that gambling has become a problem, self-exclusion allows you to close your account for a minimum of 6 months or permanently. During the exclusion period, m99m will not send you any marketing communications and will block any attempt to re-register. This is the most decisive tool available and is processed immediately upon request.

Reality Check Reminders

Enable periodic pop-up reminders that display how long you have been playing and your net win or loss for the current session. These on-screen prompts are designed to provide a moment of reflection and help you make an informed decision about whether to continue playing.

To activate any of these tools, log in to your account and visit the Responsible Gambling section of your settings, or contact our 24/7 live support team directly.

Healthy Play vs Warning Signs

Understanding the difference between recreational gambling and harmful gambling is the first step toward staying in control.

Signs of Healthy Gambling
  • You gamble with money you can afford to lose and treat it as the cost of entertainment.
  • You set a budget before each session and stop when it is reached, win or lose.
  • You take regular breaks and can walk away without feeling compelled to continue.
  • Gambling is one of several leisure activities — it does not dominate your free time.
  • You do not gamble to escape stress, anxiety, depression, or personal problems.
  • Family, friends, and work commitments are not negatively affected by your gambling.
  • You accept losses as normal part of gambling and do not chase them.
Warning Signs of Problem Gambling
  • You spend more than you intended to, or more than you can afford, on a regular basis.
  • You chase losses — depositing more to try to win back what you have lost.
  • You feel restless, irritable, or anxious when you are not able to gamble.
  • You lie to family members or friends about how much you gamble or how much you have lost.
  • You borrow money, sell possessions, or take loans to fund gambling.
  • Gambling has caused you to miss work, neglect family responsibilities, or damage relationships.
  • You have repeatedly tried to cut down or stop gambling but have been unable to.

If you recognise three or more of the warning signs above in your own behaviour, we strongly encourage you to use m99m's self-exclusion tool immediately and to contact Talian Kasih 15999 or GamCare for confidential professional support. Acting early makes a significant difference.

The 21+ Age Policy

The minimum age requirement at m99m is 21 years old. This is a firm, non-negotiable policy that applies to every player, regardless of the legal gambling age in their region or type of game they wish to access.

Age verification is conducted as mandatory part of our KYC process. Before a player can make their first withdrawal — and in many cases before their account is fully activated — they are required to submit a valid, government-issued photo identity document confirming their date of birth. Accepted documents for Malaysian players include the MyKad (National Identity Card), Malaysian Passport, and Driver's Licence.

Where we have reasonable grounds to suspect that an account is held by a person under the age of 21 — including through inconsistencies in submitted documents or behavioural indicators — we will immediately suspend that account, freeze the balance pending investigation, and report the matter to relevant authorities where required by our licensing obligations.

We urge all adults to ensure that their login credentials are kept secure and not shared with anyone — including younger family members living in the same household. If you suspect that a minor has accessed the platform using your credentials, contact our support team immediately.

Recognising Problem Gambling in Others

Sometimes it is easier to spot the signs in someone you care about before they recognise it themselves. Here are specific behavioural indicators to watch for:

Unexplained financial difficulties — borrowing money without clear reason, selling personal items, or struggling to cover everyday expenses like rent, groceries, or bills despite having a regular income.

Secretive behaviour around devices — becoming defensive or anxious when asked about mobile or computer use, quickly closing screens, or spending long periods on a device at unusual hours of the night.

Mood swings linked to gambling outcomes — noticeable emotional highs after wins and deep distress, irritability, or withdrawal after losses, with mood significantly affected by gambling results.

Social withdrawal and neglected responsibilities — missing family events, neglecting friendships, poor performance at work or studies, and gradually withdrawing from activities they previously enjoyed.

Denial and defensiveness — becoming angry or dismissive when gambling is raised as a concern, minimising how much they gamble, or consistently changing the subject when finances or time management are discussed.

Quick Self-Assessment

Answer these questions honestly. If you answer "yes" to three or more, we strongly recommend speaking to a support professional or activating self-exclusion on your m99m account.

01

Have you ever gambled with money that was originally intended for essential expenses — such as rent, utilities, food, or loan repayments?

02

Have you ever increased the amount you bet in order to try to win back money you had previously lost?

03

Have you ever felt that you needed to gamble with larger and larger amounts to get the same level of excitement or satisfaction?

04

Have you ever lied to a family member, partner, or close friend about the amount of time or money you have spent gambling?

05

Have you ever felt restless, irritable, or anxious when you tried to reduce your gambling or take a break from it?

06

Has gambling ever caused you to miss work, study commitments, or important family or social obligations?

07

Have you ever borrowed money, taken out a loan, or sold personal possessions specifically to fund gambling?

How to use this assessment: This is not a clinical diagnostic tool — it is a personal reflection guide. If your answers concern you, please contact our 24/7 live support team to activate cooling-off period or self-exclusion, or reach out to Talian Kasih 15999 for professional, confidential support. Early intervention is always more effective than waiting.

How to Self-Exclude

Self-exclusion is the most comprehensive responsible gambling tool available on m99m. It closes your account and prevents you from re-registering for the chosen exclusion period. Here is how to activate it:

01
Contact Our Support Team

Reach out via 24/7 live chat on the platform or email [email protected]. State clearly that you wish to activate self-exclusion and specify the duration — minimum 6 months, or permanent closure.

02
Confirm Your Identity

For security, our team will verify your identity using the details on your registered account — typically your registered email address and date of birth. This takes just a few minutes.

03
Immediate Account Restriction

Your account is restricted immediately upon confirmation. You will no longer be able to log in, deposit, or place any bets. Any remaining real-money balance will be returned to your registered payment method after KYC checks are completed.

04
Marketing Opt-Out Applied

All marketing communications — promotional emails, SMS messages, and in-platform bonus notifications — are halted immediately. m99m will not contact you with any gambling-related promotions during the exclusion period.

05
After the Exclusion Period

If you chose a time-limited exclusion (e.g., 6 months or 1 year), your account will not be automatically reactivated. You must contact support to request reinstatement, and a24-hour reflection period is applied before access is restored. Permanent exclusions cannot be reversed.

Tips for Staying in Control

Even if your gambling is currently recreational and well-managed, the following habits help keep it that way over the long term:

Set a time limit before you start. Decide in advance how long you will play, set a timer on your phone, and commit to stopping when the alarm goes off regardless of your balance.

Only deposit what you can afford to lose. Use m99m's deposit limit feature to cap your spending at an amount that, if lost in full, would not affect your ability to meet essential financial obligations.

Take regular breaks. Step away from the platform every 30 to 60 minutes. Continuous play without breaks reduces your ability to make rational decisions about how much to spend.

Never gamble under emotional distress. Avoid playing when you are angry, stressed, anxious, or upset. Emotional states impair decision-making and increase the risk of chasing losses.

Never chase losses. Accept that losses are a normal and expected outcome of gambling. Depositing more money to "win it back" almost always leads to greater losses and is one of the clearest early indicators of harmful gambling.

Talk openly with someone you trust. Sharing your gambling activity with a friend, partner, or family member in Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Johor Bahru, or wherever you are in Malaysia helps keep you accountable and makes it easier to spot early warning signs together.
